This forum is dedicated to the study and discussion of Rubaphilos Salfuere’s Hermetic worldview and teachings. Participation in discussion here is the first step an individual can take in being accepted into Heredom College, the portico of Heredom Group. If that is your intention, the protocol here is to start studying and asking questions about the essays, in order to ensure you understand the nature of the essay contents, and can follow the rules laid out below. Rubaphilos, and tutors working in his school, do not accept requests for tuition from individuals who cannot demonstrate on this forum that they have a good understanding of the essay material and can abide by rules. Though, even if you are not interested in moving forward within Heredom, please still feel free to ask questions.

If you are not already familiar, Rubaphilos has discussed his worldview thoroughly. This discussion can be found written into a comprehensive list of 162 Essays, his youtube channel containing 52 videos (and still growing) , and  his many years of public discussion in which he answered thousands of questions here on this Groups forum, as well as in the archived Yahoo forum. You can find all of Rubaphilos’s Essays, the archived Yahoo forum, and other interesting information in the link provided at the bottom of this page. 

In the past, Rubaphilos spent many years discussing and answering questions about his worldview publicly. He has since gone on hiatus to begin the next phase of his spiritual journey and is no longer active publicly. The forum is now run by the Tutors of Heredom College. 

While this forum used to be an open discussion with Rubaphilos, it is now geared towards finding and preparing keen individuals for acceptance into Heredom College.

Heredom College is looking for individuals that can demonstrate active engagement in this Forum. This means discussing and asking relevant questions on the essays, responding in a timely manner, and by showing curiosity and a willingness to learn. It is important to note that while you are welcome to ask questions on any of Ruba's public content, we will be selecting college participants on how well they can, specifically, study and discuss the essays.

Those who are chosen to enrol in Heredom College will get the opportunity to access a more formal and personalised study. This means gaining the opportunity to interact with individual tutors on a frequent basis, the benefit of guided study, having a means to engage in a social atmosphere easily with students and tutors, having access to our extensive library, and the opportunity to be higher up on the list of prospective candidates for formal training.

The rules for interaction here are:

1. Before posting, familiarise yourself with the nature of the conversation here by reading through previous posts in the archive (read enough to understand how discussion here normally works).
2. For your first post, before beginning discussion, please introduce yourself. Do not use your real name, pick an alias to go by.
3. In the subject line on a ‘new topic’ post, create a title that is accurate to the content of the post. (This will help in searching archives later).
4. Ask only one question per post, and then wait to receive an answer before posting the next question. If the next question is related to the initial question, keep it in the same thread. If the next question is unrelated, create a new thread for discussion. (This helps keep things organised for ease of searching the archives later as well).
5. Sign off your posts with your handle / name, so that other subscribers know who is posting.
6. If you have a technical or admin issue, email the forum owner (using the Group Owner address below). Do not make a post about it.
7. No attacks on other forum members.
8. No advertising.
9. No discussion outside of the topic of Western Hermetism. The topic for discussion here is strictly Western Hermetism, therefore discussion of other cultural esoteric traditions is not encouraged here. 
10. Please refrain from arguing your personal views, esoteric concepts from pop-esoteric tradition, and/or how they compare to Ruba's views. It is a distraction from the goal of this forum. The focus here is to discuss Ruba's ideas on Western Hermetism, not argue their validity.
11. Keep in mind that the tutors answering questions here are very busy, and volunteer their time to help keep this forum running. Sometimes it may take a while to get your question answered. Patience is greatly appreciated.
12. Please make a continuing effort to remove all unnecessary text from your reply posts, i.e. any parts you are not actually replying to.
